REMNANTS is an archaeological magazine specializing on the the fall of civilizations and the last days of their citizens. 

The design had to feel natural and draw reference from ancient ruins and their features. Therefor a natural pallet of browns with a contrast with white ,to bring light to the dark places long forgotten, would help establish the feel of the magazine. A strong and thick sans serif would give a sturdy and easy to read typeface that would also be kinder for the older eyes that tend to view archaeological magazines while also feeling updated to approach younger enthusiasts.
